Under perfect conditions and with a great panorama, the Northern Lions U16 team held back Hermance attacks with passion and discipline in the early stages of the first half. Very strong in the rucks, our forwards displayed their power whilst effectively marking their opponents. Minute after minute the Lions were the dominant team, scoring 2 tries before the break.

In the second half, it was time for the backs to show their skills. Our boys scored a beautiful try at the opening of the second half. 15 passes perfectly driven by a well connected 9-10 pair, the kind of collective try which would make even the sternest coach smile!

The entry of the subs brought a fresh physical momentum to the pitch, and the score for the Lions started to grow, as the passion of the opposing team wained. Final score 39-0.

After showers and some celebratory singing, the players enjoyed a well deserved pasta at the club house, prepared and served by the parents of Hermance players.
