We started our collection for money, goods and items to support those impacted by the conflict in Ukraine at the U16 match on Saturday. As per the photo above, items were packaged up and are already with charities supporting refugees in Switzerland and in Eastern Europe.

We are also collecting goods to pass on to three organisations. We are working with Helfen Sie Helfen, AOZ/Spendendepot Zürich, and Christliche Ostmission to collect items that are then used to support the needs of refugees in Zurich and across eastern Europe.

We can accept items from the following list, in new/excellent condition:

• Soaps (any soap, shower gels and shampoo, of any size)
• Plasters, wound cream, disinfectant, masks
• Baby wipes
• Any women’s sanitary products
• Toothbrushes & Toothpaste
• Nappies
• Babies’ feeding bottles
• Babies’ dummies
• New coloured pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners and colouring books
• Adults’ and children’s NEW socks and underwear
• Baby clothes
• Men’s, Women’s, and Children’s clothing
• Blankets (warm blankets of any kind, but no duvets, duvet covers or pillows)
• Hand, face, and bath towels
• Shoes/trainers, tied together as pairs
• Backpacks

These things are being sent with love to people in desperate circumstances. Please ensure that donations reflect the same care, as we can only send on items of excellent quality. If the items brought don’t meet these standards, we will have to cover the costs of their disposal.
