The past weekend was a busy one, with the first national U12 tournament and a home tournament for U14s.

The action began on Saturday when the U12s traveled to Yverdon to take part in a U12 national tournament. This was extra exciting because it acted as a pre-tournament for the Switzerland vs Croatia Rugby Europe Mens XV game later, and the ZRA players, parents and coaches stayed on to enjoy the match, where Switzerland were victorious by 35:10.

The ZRA team also played excellently and came away with 2 wins, a draw and 3 losses. Well done to all.

Sunday saw the first home tournament of 2024 with the U14s hosting Riviera Rugby, Rugby Club Basel and a Geneva Entente team made up of GPLO, Avusy and Servette. It was a great day despite the changeable weather which included sun, rain and hail!

Huge thank you to the parents for the help setting up and contributions to the buffet.

We hope everyone has a nice and relaxed Easter weekend before things get busy again with games in Zug and Lugano in early April, followed by the big Suisse Rugby Day here in Zurich on 13th April.

And finally there's a World Rugby Level 1 First Aid course scheduled for 11th May so please visit our events page if you're interested!
